Florida

Florida hasn’t been known for its defense since the Will Muschamp era ended. However, the last two seasons have seen them feature a top 20 defense.

They allowed 15.5 ppg and were incredibly lucky when it came to turnovers akin to Miami a couple of years ago. Florida was able to force 23 turnovers, 16 of which were interceptions.

Can their two years of turnover luck continue(they forced 26 turnovers the previous year)?

Florida does lose two of their top three tacklers from last season, but return a great deal of experience otherwise.

They were one of the best teams in getting to the quarterback and stopping teams behind the chains for loss.

They were good against the run, allowing teams to average 3.17 ypc and allowed teams to convert third downs 36 percent of the time.

The key to besting the Gators is taking advantage of Grantham’s lack of discipline and aggressiveness and not turning the ball over.
