FSU football needs a running back in its 2021 recruiting class. A four-star Jaylin White addition would be huge for the Noles.

FSU football has had the luxury of featuring five-star running backs in its backfield since 2014 with Dalvin Cook and Cam Akers.

FSU coaches addressed depth at the position with two transfers and a blue-chip freshman in Lawrance Toafili in the last recruiting cycle.

The 2020 season will feature questions at the position with those players looking to separate themselves from the pack.

However, it’s possible the Noles could lose two running backs after the 2020 season if they both perform well. That’s why it’s important to continue to land big-time talent at the position.

FSU has been in pursuit of several blue-chip players and made the top 10 for four-star running back Jaylin White.

White announced his top 10 list Tuesday afternoon via his Twitter account:

Thoughts

White is considered the No. 216 player nationally and No. 10 running back while being considered the No. 7 player in the state of Alabama.

He checks in at 5’10″ and 185 pounds and holds 36 offers nationally from the likes of FSU, South Carolina, Arkansas, Louisville, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, among others. It should be noted he doesn’t have offers from Alabama or Auburn from in-state.

There are no 247 Crystal Ball Predictions at this time. White has visited several programs with FSU being the last program he visited before the COVID-19 pandemic shutting everything down.

White is a running back that could flourish in Mike Norvell’s offense. He has excellent vision and balance with the ability to run hard. He should be able to fill out his frame once he gets into a legitimate college strength and conditioning program.

The Noles seem to be in a good spot for him, and it’ll be important to get him back on campus once things open back up again.
