FSU football continues to grind away on the recruiting trails. One of their latest offers goes to the Peach State nearby.

FSU football linebackers coach Chris Marve has been working hard on the 2021 recruiting trails looking to fill a few linebacker spots.

The Noles have sent out 31 offers to 2021 linebackers, and one of the latest goes out to three-star Prince Kollie.

That’s a great name huh? Kollie hails from Jonesborough, Tennessee, and checks in at 6’1″ and 200 pounds.

He has 30 offers from the likes of FSU, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Texas, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Michigan State, NC State, Kentucky, and others.

Kollie announced the FSU football offer via his Twitter account:

Kollie checks in as the No. 356 player overall, No. 25 outside linebacker and No. 10 player in the state of Tennessee.

The majority of the linebacker offers are outside backers, and the Noles already have one commit to fit that position in four-star Branden Jennings.

Thoughts

Kollie was first offered by Virginia on January 29, and has that tweet offer pinned to his Twitter profile. He has visited Tennessee a couple of times last fall and has also visited Kentucky, West Virginia, and attended Charlotte’s Junior Day in February.

He was able to visit Wake Forest and Virginia just before the coronavirus shut down all recruiting visits for schools.

I think that’s good news for the Noles and likely means he’ll be open to coming to visit Tallahassee once these restrictions subside.

It also helps FSU linebacker coach Chris Marve played his high school and college football in Tennessee. Kollie is a player that played both ways for his high school team. He played wide receiver, running back, and linebacker.

As a linebacker he tallied 78 total tackles, one interception, seven passes defended, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. This is one where we’ll have to follow the visits!
