FSU football is looking to keep their name out there with quality recruits during this outside of the norm dead period. Could they make up ground?

FSU football was starting to get some momentum on the recruiting trails just before the coronavirus pandemic shut everything down.

The coaching staff did a great job of getting players on campus for their junior days, and during the week to observe practice with some players naming the Noles their leader at the time.

I wrote about how the Noles could continue to build on that momentum despite the dead period a couple of weeks ago.

The question is, can the Noles make up ground in some recruiting battles since the dead period has been extended to May 31.

It remains to be seen how the NCAA will handle the Early Signing Period in January, but this dead period likely delays some recruits from deciding because they are not able to travel to as many schools as they normally would have.

Players not being able to visit FSU football isn’t good, but not being able to visit anywhere else helps the Noles.
