QB Situation

This could arguably be the most important position for the Noles going into fall camp. I wrote about incumbent James Blackman and how Mike Norvell could save his FSU football career a few days ago.

The response to the thought of Blackman being the quarterback in 2020 was lukewarm at best on our social media platforms. I suppose his Sun Bowl performance is still fresh in everyone’s minds.

It looks like the spring will consist of a three-man battle at the QB position. There’s redshirt junior James Blackman, redshirt sophomore Jordan Travis, and true freshman early enrollee Tate Rodemaker.

Wyatt Rector has changed positions and is now will be taking reps with the tight ends.

It’s a new offense, so it’ll be a clean slate for all three players although Blackman and Travis have college experience.

Which player will emerge as the leader once spring camp concludes?
