FSU basketball moved into sole possession of first place with its comeback win over Miami and Duke’s loss to Louisville Saturday night.
No. 9 FSU basketball is in a position many people didn’t see as possible prior to the season beginning. The Noles are now in sole possession of first place in the ACC conference.
They entered Saturday with a three-way tie with Duke and Louisville. The Noles took care of business and Louisville defeated Duke Saturday night.
Of course, the Noles thrashed Louisville a couple of weeks ago on their home floor giving them the tie breaker over the Cardinals and first place in the conference.
The win over Miami will likely have the Noles moving up in the polls Monday with Duke’s loss. There were ranked No. 3 and No. 4 Auburn and No. 5 Butler both lost by double digits.
Apparently someone forgot the Noles rolled Louisville.
You’re right John- we enjoy the 502. 👍🏿 https://t.co/FZzZNN0mcK

That was well done by whoever runs the basketball account. I wish they could run the football account too! Check out the fan reaction to FSU being in first place.

Let’s stay on top! This team is inspiring. Love the team mentality and the chip on your shoulders! No one pays attention, which is just fine with me. #GoNoles

Thoughts
FSU basketball has been playing to their level of competition it seems and will take on another mediocre team in Notre Dame next week.
After that they will take on Virginia again and have a chance to run the table a bit before traveling to Duke on February 10th.
We’re not even halfway through the conference schedule and anything can happen but the Noles are now in the driver’s seat and control their own destiny. If they win out they win the ACC conference plan and simple.
Now, odds are they are not going to do that as this conference always has some crazy upsets. However, this team finds ways to win with different players stepping up each game. Let’s enjoy the journey Nole fans!
