FSU football: 3 thoughts as National Signing Day 2020 nears

Transfer Portal/JUCO Will Be Big
It has already been big for the Noles in the 2020 recruiting class. The Noles have added a graduate transfer offensive tackle in Devontay Taylor (FIU), defensive end Jarrett Jackson (Louisville) and running back Jashaun Corbin (Texas A&M).
FSU still have major holes along the offensive tackle front and at running back. They could also use another experienced pass rusher with Joshua Kaindoh and Janarius Robinson exhausting eligibility after the 2020 season.
I’m not sure I’ve seen a staff attack the transfer portal the way this new staff does. Players are not even in the portal 30 minutes before someone from FSU football reaches out to gauge interest.
The great thing too is the staff isn’t just looking to take bodies as they are looking to address NEEDS. It looks as though there will be no wasted scholarships.
There will no taking an offensive lineman that plays guard when you need offensive tackles. Hence, the Alex Atcavage situation and why that went how it did.
Heck, they are getting experienced players like the Purdue linebacker (Cornel Jones) to walk-on this spring. If they can get a couple more offensive tackles who are eligible to play this year it could make a world of difference for this team offensively.
