FSU recruiting is looking to finish strong with the 2020 recruiting class. I discuss three thoughts as we get closer to National Signing Day.

FSU football recruiting doesn’t seem to have a ton of momentum with many prominent recruits as National Signing Day nears.

That doesn’t mean the coaches are feverishly working behind the scenes to make sure they finish the 2020 class out with some quality players.

They had a strong Early Signing Period by signing 17 of their 18 commitments. The quarterback position saw two prep players signed for the first time since 2017.

They will have come recruits on campus this weekend as they are in a tricky situation of finishing out the 2020 class while working on gaining traction with 2021 players.

Right now is a prime opportunity for Mike Norvell, much like it was for Willie Taggart in spring 2018.

It’s an opportunity to sell the vision of what he wants FSU football to become and how he’s going to get it there. Players like to hear those type things and all it takes is one or two of the right players to get things rolling.

Think back to when Lamarcus Joyner committed to FSU for Jimbo Fisher in the 2010 class. Heck, even Willie Taggart had FSU with the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in April 2018.

If Mike Norvell can show he’s got FSU going in the right direction, that’s all it’ll take for the sleeping giant to awaken again. Here’s three thoughts as National Signing Day 2020 nears.
