FSU football will host its first spring game of the Mike Norvell era on Saturday, April 18th, at 5 p.m. Nole fans seem to be excited and plan to come out.

FSU football fans are ready to lie all off-season according to social media. If you’re not familiar with that phrase, it means getting hyped about your program and what you think is possible in the upcoming season.

FSU head coach Mike Norvell has captured this fan base in the short month and change he’s been on the job.

He seems to be making all the right moves, just as his predecessor did in the off-season leading up to the Virginia Tech game.

Of course, the 2018 spring game was massive with 50,000 Nole fans showing up ready to rock after the previous coach had ditched the program.

FSU’s in a similar predicament, except the previous coach was fired a few months ago, but it seems FSU football fans are ready to give it another go.

I asked on Twitter yesterday who was showing up to the spring game and how many fans they thought would be in attendance. The results are below:

Thoughts

It’s pretty cool to see 83 percent of those fans believed at least 30,000 fans will be in attendance. Another 59 percent believe 40,000+ will attend which would be quite impressive.

The game beginning at 5 p.m. ET is smart as it means fans won’t be out in the sun all day long. It also gives fans within driving distance to drive down and hang out for the day too. Ticket prices start at $10 and can be purchased here.

A lot of people seemed to balked at the hiring of Norvell, but his introductory press conference and actions thereafter have won most fans over.

The only thing left to do now is wait until the season to see if he can deliver on getting this program back to where it’s supposed to be.
