Jameis Winston

There were a number of quarterbacks and former Heisman Trophy winners listed but you wouldn’t find Jameis Winston among them.

Awards/Honors

  • BCS national champion (2013)
  • Heisman Trophy (2013)
  • Walter Camp Award (2013)
  • Manning Award (2013)
  • Davey O’Brien Award (2013)
  • AP College Player of the Year (2013)
  • Sporting News College Player of the Year (2013)
  • ACC Player of the Year (2013)
  • ACC Rookie of the Year (2013)
  • ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year (2013)

Winston led the Noles to a 14-0 mark as a redshirt freshman, winning the Heisman Trophy and FSU’s third national championship.

In 27 games he completed 66 percent of his passes for 7,964 yards, 65 touchdowns and 28 interceptions with a QB rating of 163.3. Winston wasn’t the greatest runner with his legs, but he did amass 284 rushing yards with seven touchdowns.

When I look at the top 150 list and see quarterbacks that didn’t even have 4,000 total yards of offense listed?

That’s absolutely ridiculous as he only lost one game as a college player and would have blown away more stats of players listed on the 150 list had he played a third season in college.

Winston went on to become the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
