FSU football closed out its regular season with a blowout loss to the No. 11 Florida Gators. Fans react to the ‘Noles performance.
FSU football started the game against Florida trying to compete, but didn’t have enough between terrible tackling, not lining up properly and the referees being dumb.
Florida scored on its opening possession and the Noles matched that touchdown with one of their own with its first possession.
That’s about where the competitiveness ended for the Noles as they were on the end of another loss to a rival with the final score being 40-17.
The FSU offense missed several opportunities to do damage as James Blackman missed some throws.
FSU’s defense had no answers for the Gators’ short passing game. Simple screen passes for the Gators turned into 23 yard touchdowns as players simply couldn’t make tackles.
This game couldn’t get over fast enough and the FSU fans let it be known on social media.

We are incapable of creating pressure with a blitz... we’re too disorganized on defense to get one home. Makes our D ridiculously easy to gouge.

This game is the shot and our new HC announcement will be the chaser.

Thoughts
The fans had every right to vent their frustrations, especially on defense with Harlon Barnett. They basically had TWO weeks to prepare for Florida and still couldn’t get lined up properly.
Florida receivers were catching passes with no FSU defenders within 5-8 yards of them. Then when they were in position to make a play on the rare occasion they still couldn’t make the play.
It’s almost like they have been traumatized the last two years with Harlon Barnett as defensive coordinator. The sad part is the best defensive player for FSU Hamsah Nasirildeen got hurt and has played his heart out on that side of the ball.
Hopefully FSU football announces who the new coach is sooner than later and we won’t have to talk about this terrible game much at all. Thanks for supporting the site through another tough season.
