FSU football is getting closer to hiring its next head coach. Here’s three reasons why Penn State coach James Franklin is the best option for Noles.

FSU football has done a very good job of keeping thing close to the vest when it comes to the process of selecting their next head coach.

The timing of the firing of Willie Taggart allowed them to get a jump-start on the process in hopes of hiring a coach before the regular season started or right after it concludes.

It seems like they are on track with a handful of names consistently in the mix from the onset. The biggest was Bob Stoops, but that ship seems to have sailed and likely wasn’t a realistic option regardless for several reasons.
