FSU football: Nole fans nervous going into Wake Forest game
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football readies for a crucial matchup on the road against Wake Forest. Nole fans seem nervous going into the game.
FSU football being betting underdogs for the first time ever against Wake Forest tells you all you need to know about where the program is.
The Noles face a critical road game that could ultimately determine the future of Willie Taggart. A win here and the Noles have good momentum going into a series of winnable games on the schedule to finish strong.
A loss could be catastrophic as fans are already on edge with how the Noles have played through six games.
A good sign for the Noles is how the betting line has moved over the week. FSU is now a -1 favorite after opening at +2.5. Wake Forest was taking 58 percent of the bets at the time, but that number is now down to 51 percent according to the Action Network.
Nevertheless, FSU football fans are nervous going into the Saturday night matchup:

Thoughts
I understand the sentiment of being nervous based on how the Noles have performed. However, I don’t think we should confuse how they played against an excellent Clemson team last week compared to what Wake Forest brings to the table.
I can’t get it out of my head that a worst FSU team last year beat Wake Forest 38-17. I understand it’s a road game, but Wake Forest isn’t exactly Carter-Finley Stadium either.
This Wake Forest defense isn’t good while playing suspect teams and FSU’s offense is better than last year.
FSU should sell out to stop the run game similar to how they did against Louisville and Wake Forest.
As long as they don’t have multiple turnovers or commit stupid penalties they should win this game by a touchdown or more.
