Noles Definitely Showing Progress

After the Louisiana-Monroe game it seemed this program was broken. Heck, it seemed like it was broken last week when Louisville came roaring back to overcome a 21 point lead early in the fourth quarter.

However, the FSU team has shown steady progress with each game. Some folk like to point out this team could be 5-0 on the season and that’s plausible to say.

However, I’d like to think if FSU could replay their schedule right now with how they are playing it would be a much better indicator of how good they are.

I think it’s much easier to see where the progress is being made. The defense can actually stop the run now.

The Noles didn’t jump out to a huge lead and then collapse like the first few games. The FSU defense didn’t fold when the FSU offense couldn’t get things going early.

They are playing much better as a team in all three phases of the game.

The FSU offense has finished both of the last two games strong. There’s a clear path to at least seven or eight wins at the level this team is playing now, and I’m not sure that was true just a couple of weeks ago.
