Fans Showed Support

I wrote about the importance of the FSU football fans showing up to home games earlier in the week. I have to give credit where credit is due, the FSU football fans showed up Saturday night to the tune of 60,000 strong.

That’s a much better effort than the reported 46,0000 that showed up last week for a 3:30 game against Louisville.

They were loud and actually had an impact on the game as NC State was whistled for at least a couple of false starts.

It wasn’t peak Doak Campbell for a night game, but it was a sign the FSU fan base believes in this program and it was great to see.

It means the players feel the love and in turn I think this was one of the factors regarding why the defense played with so much energy.

It helps the local economy and gives a much better perception to any recruits that may be in attendance.

What will really tell us a lot is what the crowd will look like against Syracuse on October 26th after back-to-back road contests against two undefeated teams in Clemson and Wake Forest.
