FSU football had a huge game against NC State Saturday night. Here’s three reasons FSU fans need to pack Doak Campbell Stadium.

FSU football got its first ACC win of the 2019 season against Louisville Saturday to even their record and (2-2).

They did it in front of an announced crowd of just over 46,000 fans in a stadium that seats closer to 80,000.

I get it, the FSU football program isn’t playing at an elite level and the product on the field last year was sub-par.

There absolutely no question about it. I can honestly say had FSU lost that game to Louisville I would not be writing this piece.

I couldn’t justify it if they had lost by blowing a 21 point lead to a team that went 2-10 last season with a brand new coaching staff in its first year.

However, they found a way to win and have shown signs of progress in each game this season. More importantly, they are a much better team than last season despite the early defensive woes through the first four games.

The good news? FSU’s defense looks to be turning the corner as they have improved in key areas the past two games.

They’ll have an opportunity to win back-to-back conference games for the first time since 2016 against a team that’s beaten them in two consecutive years. A team that’s straight up disrespected the Noles in those two games.

NC State players mocked the Noles after the 2017 game, spit on the logo and treated James Blackman like a rag doll all game. In 2018, the Wolfpack simply ran it down the throats of the Noles in a game that was never really competitive.

I understand it’s expensive nowadays to attend any type of sporting event and Tallahassee isn’t the easiest place to get to. However, having less than 50,000 people at a conference home game at FSU football is absurd.
