FSU football: How to watch Louisville game and best bets
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football will play against Louisville (2-1) Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Here’s the best way to watch the game and my best bets.
FSU football played arguably their most complete game last week despite the defense collapsing in the fourth quarter against No. 25 Virginia.
They’ll face a must-win game when they host the rebuilding Louisville Cardinals (2-1).
Which FSU football team is going to show up? The team that showed they could stop the run pretty well last week or the team that got gashed on the ground in the first two games.
This is a huge game for the Noles and a win could potentially change the trajectory of the program. Last week’s competitive loss gave some hope to a fan base that had seen its teams get worked against the better teams it has faced in the last year.
The game will air on ESPN or you can stream the game here.
I’d say based on that number a few days ago I’d expect the crowd at Doak Campbell will likely be between 55-60K. Its sad FSU football had that number for a spring game last year, but the fact of the matter is nothing is going to fix that problem except winning.
The betting line is now FSU football -6.5 with the over/under total at 61 according to Bovada. That means oddsmakers are expecting UVA football to win something like 35-28.
It’s interesting 61 percent of the wagers are on Louisville and the betting line has moved two points since it opened at -8.5.
That tells me bettors are not sold on FSU’s performance against Virginia. I won taking the Noles against the spread last week, but I’m sure what to expect from them this week.
The Cardinals will look to play at a snail’s pace but their defense isn’t as good as Virginia’s either. If FSU can stop their run game it should allow them to cover the spread and their run defense looked better last week.
I’m going to go out on a limb and take the Noles to cover the -6.5 spread as the favorite.
FSU football was able to move the ball against Virginia and would have looked even better had they not left so many plays on the field. I think they finally put it all together Saturday for FSU’s first impressive win in of the year.
