FSU Basketball will face a slate of games starting this November that has plenty of land mines, but also looks pretty manageable for a decent season.

Ever since the FSU basketball team lost in the Sweet 16 – their second straight season making it to the second weekend of the tournament – there have been plenty of questions about what the future will hold, including what the 2019-20 season was going to have in store for the upcoming college basketball season.

It was a question that came into play even more when the Seminoles lost arguably their two best players from last season – when both Terance Mann and Mfiondu Kabengele  were taken by the Los Angeles Clippers – that had some worried that the Seminoles might not even sniff a chance at the success of the past few years.

Well, for FSU basketball head coach Leonard Hamilton, the Seminoles road back to the madness of March is going to be slightly better than it could have been as the schedule for the upcoming season was announced on Thursday – and for the Noles, it could be a lot better than expected.

For starters, the season starts off with two road games at Pittsburgh and Florida before four very winnable games ahead of two more games against teams that made the tournament last season – VCU and Tennessee. So, get past the Gators and Panthers early and it looks like an undefeated start to the season.

ACC play starts for good on New Years Eve for the Seminoles – after playing Pittsburgh in the opener and Clemson randomly in December – with two of the first three games coming against Georgia Tech and Wake Forest, giving them a much easier road to get comfortable with ACC play as opposed to starting off with teams like Virginia or Duke.

Speaking of conference powers, the Seminoles have one real tough stretch where they play three games in eight days that includes North Carolina and Miami at home followed by a road game against Duke – a team FSU basketball was beating until a miracle shot saved the Blue Devils last season.

Could something take place and the Seminoles take a step back this season? Of course, anything is possible and the season is still young. That being said, the Noles have a schedule that plays out to where if they can play up to their potential, it could be another long postseason run for the Noles.
