FSU football was looking for an impressive win for momentum going into the Virginia game. Here’s three positives from Louisiana-Monroe game.
Just when I thought the FSU football defense couldn’t get worse than week one, they were like hold my beer in week two against Louisiana-Monroe.
It was reminiscent of how they looked against FCS Samford in 2018 where they gave up over 500 yards.
I can’t believe how closely the FSU football team played to the narrative from a week ago. They got up three touchdowns early and then started to fold at the first sign of adversity.
The good news is they somehow found a way to win the game although it certainly didn’t feel like it. However, it would ridiculous to equate their performance to the same had they actually lost the game.
It would have been made national headlines and there would certainly be louder calls for Willie Taggart to be fired.
The win allows us to look at the positives in the game. Yes, as bad as the game was there are still positives when compared to how this team looked a year ago.
Here are three positive observations from their performance Saturday.
