Final Thoughts

Harlon Barnett will have an opportunity to work out the cobwebs against Louisiana-Monroe next Saturday.

It’s a game the Noles should be able to use as a glorified scrimmage before traveling to Virginia in week three.

A win against Virginia could right the ship somewhat as most folk had that game as one the Noles could potentially lose before the season began.

But let’s get a win against Louisiana-Monroe first as we saw how FSU had to go life and death with Samford last year to get their first win of the season.

The good news is some of this stuff is correctable if Barnett just allows his athletes to play on defense. There’s a reason FSU football recruits blue chip players to play in the secondary.

What’s the use in doing that if you’re going to take away their biggest asset? Let’s see if the Noles can right the ship next week and hold Louisiana-Monroe to 17 points or less.
