FSU football: Fans disgusted with ‘Noles performance against Boise St.
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football had an embarrassing performance against the Boise State Broncos and Nole fans are not happy. They voiced their displeasure on social media.
FSU football continues to dig a hole with its own fans. The program can’t keep putting a terrible product on the field and expect fans to continue supporting it.
I talked about how Willie Taggart won the offseason again, but needed it to translate into wins on the field.
I talked about how a loss against Boise State would undo all he helped build up this offseason. It’s unfortunate, but it’s the nature of the business.
Check out how disgusted FSU football fans were with what they saw Saturday:

Listen, there is enough blame to go all around. I’m placing blame on Harlon Barnett AND Kendal Briles.
There’s no reason a true freshman should come to Doak Campbell stadium and lead and offense to over 600 yards against a defense full of blue chip players.
Also, there’s no reason the FSU offense only amount 68 total yards in the entire second half and be held scoreless.
Neither coordinator made any type of adjustment. Yes, the offense gave the defense a huge lead early on, but the defense also held Boise to just one touchdown in the first half which came off an offensive turnover.
The playcalling left a lot to be desired from Kendal Briles in the second half. It’s like he forgot he could call a running play, running the defense right back out there after a three and out.
Why Harlon Barnett didn’t run more man-to-man on defense I’ll never know. They allowed 38 first downs in ONE game with Boise State converting 10 of 19 opportunities.
The FSU football fans have EVERY right to voice their displeasure. That was a joke of a performance after having all offseason to prepare. These coaches better get in the film room and figure things out fast or this season will be an exact replica of last season or worse.
They’ll have next week against Louisiana-Monroe to get back on track. IF they can somehow beat Virginia in week three that would restore a bit of faith, but I wouldn’t hold my breath at this point.
