FSU football: 5 keys to victory against Boise State Broncos

Get Off To A Quick Start
How many times have we seen FSU give up a score on the opponents opening drive the past few years? It seems almost automatic the Noles have to play from behind since the 2014 season.
After last season I believe the Noles need to get off to a fast start against Boise State. Some points or even a touchdown on their opening drive would be huge for the confidence of this team.
If Boise State received the opening kickoff and the defense was able to get a three and out or stop to force a punt that would be huge as well.
An early lead would be huge in this game for a couple of reasons:
- Would put pressure on a true freshman to put points on the board
- Boise State would realize this isn’t the 2018 version of FSU and likely put doubt in their minds
Think of it like a boxing match. How many times have you seen a fighter get hit hard in the face early in the fight and their whole game plan goes out the window?
What FSU doesn’t need to happen is to allow Boise to come out and go right down the field the way Virginia Tech did in the 2018 opener and score a touchdown.
