FSU football is doing a great job of concentrating on quality players close to home. Here’s proof they’re winning the state of Florida recruiting.

FSU football is doing a lot better than folk think regarding the state of recruiting in 2020. Think about it, they have the No. 13 ranked class overall (composite rankings) coming off a 5-7 record with losses to both Miami and Florida.

I caught some flack recently for a tweet I sent out in April 2018. The Noles has just secured several commitments during their spring game weekend and ascended to the No. 1 spot  just five months after Taggart became head coach.

The crazy thing is the Noles were in the mix for several of the best players in the 2020 class before the 2018 season went off the rails.

They absolutely could have finished with a top five class with a better season. Here’s the tweet, and it will be the case again once FSU football puts a respectable product on the field.

What’s crazy? Despite all the negativity and negative recruiting the Noles still arguably have the best 2020 recruiting class of the big three schools in Florida.

The fact they’re even in the discussion tells us good of a recruiting staff this is and where they’ll be once things get rolling again.

Their main objective was to lock down the state of Florida and that’s what they’re doing this recruiting cycle whether Florida and Miami fans want to admit it or not.

Let’s examine the evidence.
