FSU Football: Ranking 5 most important games on 2019 schedule
By Kelvin Hunt
Boise State
I know you’re looking at this like why do I have the Boise State game as more important than rivalry games or ACC games?
That’s a simple answer. The perception of the season is riding on the outcome of the Boise State game.
It’s a game FSU is slightly favored to win on a neutral field that’ll be more of a home field advantage for FSU than Boise.
If FSU wins this game it sets the tone for the rest of the season. A loss immediately interjects failure and disappoint into a fan base that mostly wants to believe Willie Taggart can turn things around.
It would be hard to believe in the program at that point and I’m one of the biggest Willie Taggart supporters. A sets FSU up to go into Virginia 2-0 on the road with some momentum and self-confidence.
That’s something the Noles have lacked the past few seasons, walking onto the field believing they’re going to smash whoever is lining up against them.
Confidence is everything in sports and starting off on the right foot against Boise St. would send a message FSU football is on the rise again.
