FSU football met a need with the addition of Carter Boatwright to the 2020 recruiting class.. I discuss the impact he will have on the ‘Noles program.

FSU football added three-star tight end  Carter Boatwright to the 2020 recruiting class Thursday evening.

The Georgia product was offered Thursday and basically accepted the offer on the spot.

He was teammates with FSU true freshman kicker Ryan Fitzgerald who’ll be enrolling this summer/fall.

He’s considered the No. 1,092 ranked player overall and No. 47 tight end in the country and the No. 108 player in Georgia.

Despite not having a composite ranking at the time of his commitment, Boatwright holds 22 offers including schools like Pittsburgh, UCF, and Navy. He has good size at 6’5″ 225 pounds and shows the willingness to block in the run game and receives the ball well with his hands as a receiver.

FSU football now has 14 commitments in its 2020 recruiting class which is considered the No. 14 class in the nation.

Boatwright is the lone tight end commitment in the class. Let’s take a look at three ways his commitment impacts the Noles.
