Three members of the FSU football team were ranked among the top 30 players in the Atlantic Coast Conference entering the 2019 season that starts in months.

In just over two months, the FSU football team will be back on the field inside of Jacksonville’s TIAA Field for an opening weekend showdown with the Boise State Broncos – and more importantly than anything, a chance to start the 2019 season and put the 2018 season to rest for good after the first losing season in decades.

When the Seminoles take the field on August 31st, it’s a known fact that there will be plenty of talent for the garnet and gold – but according to the first of what will be many preseason rankings, they will have a trio of arguably three of the best players in the ACC entering the upcoming season.

College Football News released their predictions for the upcoming season recently as well as their preseason teams for all conferences – and will get to that second part in a moment – and had three players for the FSU football team ranked among the top 16 players entering the upcoming season.

"No. 13 – DT Marvin WilsonNo. 14 – DB Stanford Samuels Jr.No. 16 – RB Cam Akers"

The irony out of the fact that the FSU football team was one of just three teams in the conference to have multiple players ranked in the top 16 – with defending champs Clemson having six players and Virginia having two – is that Wilson was the only member of the trio to make the preseason all-ACC team from the website.

Wilson was joined on the list of the top 26 players in the conference along with punter Logan Tyler, which put the Seminoles on the level of last year’s Costal Division champions Pittsburgh and behind teams like Clemson, Miami and Syracuse among the top offensive, defensive and special team players in the conference.

While it sometimes is hard to remember that the FSU football team is going to have to work hard this season to prove that what took place in 2018 was a rare occurrence, it still is comfortable to know that the Seminoles are still one of the most respected teams in the conference at this point.
