Joshua Kaindoh

Defensive end Brian Burns was selected in the first round of the NFL Draft with the No. 16 overall pick.

That means 36 percent of all the FSU sacks from a season ago are no longer on the team. Who’s going to replace all that production?

The logical thought would be former five-star recruit and No. 10 overall recruit in the 2017 recruiting cycle.

Kaindoh was hampered by injuries last season and finished with 19 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, four QB hurries and three sacks.

FSU only had 28 sacks all last season and opposing QB’s had a lot of time to pick apart the ‘Noles secondary to the tun of 30 TD passes allowed.

I don’t care how good the secondary is, any decent QB is going to have success if he has that amount of time.

Kaindoh needs to live up to his five-star billing in 2019 to help take some pressure off the FSU secondary while giving the defense more predictable situations to attack.
