FSU Football: 5 players that could be drafted in 2020
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football only had two players selected in the 2019 NFL Draft. However, there’s five with a good shot of being drafted in 2020.
FSU football and the NFL Draft go together like peanut butter and jelly. The Noles have had an insane number of players selected since the first players drafted in 1951.
In fact, FSU football has had at least one player selected for 36 consecutive years. However, the last four drafts have seen somewhat in a decline in the number of players selected.
Brian Burns (1st round) and Demarcus Christmas (6th round) were the only two players taken this year. It’s the second time in four years that FSU football has only produced two draft picks.
They’ve only produced 14 draft picks from 2016-19 compared to 33 selections taken from 2012-15.
It should be noted seven of those 14 draft picks have been third round or better with three of them being selected in the first round. It should have been four because Dalvin Cook was a first round talent too.
Anyways, a lot of folk are spending time writing narratives on FSU only having two players selected. I wouldn’t put much into that. The Noles had two players selected in 2016 and had five players taken the following year.
I think the same trend could hold true for 2020. Let’s take a look at five players that could be drafted from FSU football next season.
