Recruiting Will Be Fine

A lot of FSU football fans seemed to panic when the staff closed with the No. 18 recruiting class in the nation last recruiting cycle.

I wasn’t worried per se, simply because of how well they had positioned themselves for top players prior to the disaster that became the 2018 season.

Top players simply don’t want to join a program in disarray that gets blown out every game and frankly looks unorganized in every phase.

The good thing about this staff is they have seemed to weather that storm and the hiring of Kendal Briles to lead the offense has plugged a hole in the boat so to speak.

His reputation alone is enough to let recruits know Willie Taggart is looking to get this program going in the right direction with the additions of Randy Clements and Ron Dugans.

FSU has the No. 8 spot for the 2020 recruiting cycle and already has their quarterback who’s the bell cow recruiting feverishly on social media and on campus visits.

Basically all this team needs to do is win on the football field in 2019. It’ll be the same message Jimbo Fisher used to build the roster beginning in 2011. If that happens Willie Taggart will have no problem getting top players to come to FSU.
