FSU football is still drawing a hefty price tag for some of the top games they will be playing during the upcoming season, including the opener.

In just over seven months, the FSU football team will be taking the field for the first time in the 2019 season inside of Doak Campbell Stadium when the Seminoles host Louisiana Monroe one week after they open the season about two hours to the east when the Noles face off against Boise State in Jacksonville.

The game against the Broncos was supposed to be a home game as part of a two season series with the team from Idaho, but money talked and the Seminoles moved their game to the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars (which also means they will likely try and get out of the return game to Boise scheduled for the 2020 season).

Moving that game was part of a growing complaint from FSU football fans of a weak home schedule this year – with the marquee game being rival Miami to go along with ACC games against N.C. State, Syracuse and Louisville and non-conference games against ULM and FCS foe Alabama State.

Needless to say, the Seminoles might have a few problems drawing sellout crowds to Doak this year with that schedule unless the performance on the field changes. But even with that, the secondary market has already been pretty good for the Noles when it comes to ticket prices.

According to Vivid Seats, the Noles are already fetching ticket prices in the hundreds for some top games next season, including one big home contest.

"August 31st vs. Boise State (in Jacksonville) – $163 lowest to $901 highestOctober 12th at Clemson – $120 to $704November 2nd vs. Miami – $149 to $744November 9th at Boston College – $98 to $548November 30th at Florida – $167 to $840"

Of course, you can still buy tickets to several home games for less than $20 including the opener of the season. With season ticket prices around $300 for the six home games, it might be worth it to just bite that bullet and actually save money so you can be there when thee Noles and Canes take the field for their rivalry battle.

The future schedules at home don’t look like they will be much better in the future – in 2020, the Seminoles will welcome Florida and Clemson along with Pitt and Boston College. In 2021, FSU football will open the season on Labor Day against Notre Dame, but right now Miami is the only other marquee game on the home slate.
