FSU football has lots of issues that are cause for worry about its future under Willie Taggart. Here are five offseason concerns about the Noles.
FSU football fans seem to be split going forward regarding what they expect in the Willie Taggart era.
The 2018 season didn’t go anything close to how anyone expected with the Noles looking as inept in all three phases as a team could look for much of the year.
It was the worst season record wise since 2009 and even that team made a bowl game despite a historically bad defense.
I still have a bad taste in my mouth but I believe Willie Taggart will turn things around in 2019. I’ve seen some encouraging signs and moves made by Taggart since the season ending loss to Florida.
Despite those things, I have to remember this team went 5-7 with six of their seven losses coming by 19 points or more.
FSU football isn’t close to where it needs to be and hasn’t been for the past two years. Willie Taggart made all the right moves after getting hired last season.
He salvaged the recruiting mess left by the previous staff. The spring game had record attendance and several high-profile recruits committed that weekend. He brought back Mickey Andrews, donated 1 million dollars back to FSU and had expectations through the roof.
All that was great but at the end of the day it’s about winning football games and that didn’t happen nearly enough last season. Let’s take a look at five concerns surrounding the FSU football program this offseason.
These concerns must be addressed if FSU’s going to get back to elite status.
