FSU football just upgraded their staff with the addition of wide receiver coach Ron Dugans. I discuss three positives from the move.

FSU football and in particular head coach Willie Taggart has been scrutinized with how the 2018 season went awry.

Recruiting isn’t ranked as high as FSU football fans would like and coaching changes/hires haven’t happened fast enough either.

For whatever reason, things or perceived improvement are not happening fast enough for FSU fans. However, Willie Taggart has made some impressive moves in the off-season.

It began with the hiring of offensive coordinator Kendal Briles, and the latest of bringing his initial wide receiver coach target Ron Dugans on board Sunday.

Fans are quick to forget Taggart targeted Dugans last year as he was assembling his coaching staff, but Dugans felt it was best to stay with the Miami Hurricanes after being torn about the decision.

However, Taggart again went after Dugans who wasn’t retained after Miami hired Manny Diaz to replace Mark Richt who resigned after getting blown out in Miami’s second consecutive bowl loss against Wisconsin.

It’s a move that immediately improves the FSU football staff on and off the field. Here are three positives from the move.
