Dontavious Jackson

The emotional FSU defensive leader Dontavious Jackson really came to play against Boston College.

He finished with a game high 14 tackles (6 solo) and a sack on the night. Jackson was one of the players that consistently punished Boston College workhorse running back AJ Dillon to hold him in check with 3.1 yards per carry.

However, more importantly Jackson played with a passion that was contagious among the FSU defense.

We saw players jumping around and celebrating after they made plays. It looked like they were having fun out there for a change and Jackson always seemed to be in the middle of things.

Jackson now has 70 tackles on the season which is second on the team and 5.5 tackles for loss. His 70 tackles are nearly double the amount he had in his first two seasons at FSU.
