FSU Football: Fans react to NC State scheduling Noles for Homecoming
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football and NC State seem to have a lot of history with the Wolfpack as they are tied with most wins of the original ACC teams against the Noles.
FSU football has a bitter taste in their mouth after losing at home to NC State last season. It was the first career start for true freshmen James Blackman who was harassed all day by Bradley Chubb who then proceeded to spit on the FSU logo after the game.
NC State hadn’t defeated the Noles since their improbable second half comeback in 2012 that derailed FSU’s undefeated season.
There has always been some underlying disdain of sorts between the two programs. Dave Doeren accused FSU players of faking injuries after blowing a huge first half lead in 2014.
FSU has utterly destroyed NC State in most of their 25 wins against the Pack.
It probably all boils down to NC State having 12 wins against FSU since the Noles joined the ACC in the early 90’s.
That number ties Clemson for the most wins of any original ACC team against FSU with eight of those wins coming since 1992(5 of those in Raleigh).
However, it seemed to catch FSU fans off guard when they realized NC State scheduled the Noles for their Homecoming game Saturday.

Thoughts
It should be noted these reactions took place BEFORE FSU football got their doors blown off by Clemson last week. It was just after the Noles had beaten the brakes off Wake Forest.
I wonder if fans feel as confident now as they did at that point? It does seem odd NC State would schedule FSU for Homecoming when they’ve got the likes of James Madison, Georgia State and Marshall on their schedule.
They are sizable betting favorites with their game being at home and FSU getting destroyed by Clemson last week.
Will the Noles make them pay by ruining their Homecoming weekend? Tune in Saturday at 3:30 p.m.!
