Tackle/Hands Up In Passing Lanes

NC State QB Ryan Finley is one of the best at hiking the ball and getting it to his playmakers in space quickly which makes it tough to get pressure on him.

His offensive line isn’t great, but he makes them look good because they’ve only given up four sacks on the season.

Basically, that means the Noles prolly will not find a lot of success in sacking him but there are a couple of things they can do to alter things.

If the defensive line is rushing and looking to pressure, once they realize they aren’t going to get home they need to get their hands up in the air as much as possible in hopes of deflecting a pass.

If they aren’t able to disrupt things by getting their hands/arms in the passing lanes then the defense must not miss tackles.

The Noles haven’t been great at tackling this season, but they must wrap up and prevent yards after the catch as NC State will look to pass the ball 40 times or more.

They’ll be plenty of opportunities to get after him and they need to put him on the ground as much as possible within the rules of course as those hits could accumulate later in the game.
