FSU football is a huge betting underdog against the No. 2 Clemson Tigers. Fans give their predictions on who will win the game.

FSU football hasn’t been this big of an underdog at home since being 16 point underdogs against Florida in 2008.

The Noles were around a 10 point underdog for the Clemson game in the preseason.

However, FSU’s play in the first few games was so poor the point spread ballooned to 17.

Now, it should be noted FSU played their most complete game last week against Wake Forest. Yes, it was Wake Forest but the FSU offense looked the best it has all season.

FSU football has the talent to beat the Tigers, the question is can they execute as a team in all phases of the game well enough to pull off the upset?

Fans on social media give their predictions:

There are always homer fans that believe regardless of the odds!

Haha, a lot of rival fans are taking this approach it seems.

I think most FSU fans probably fall into this category.

That sounds like a plan.

Thoughts

I’ve said it all along, if the FSU offense doesn’t turn the ball over the Noles can play with Clemson. Unfortunately they have turned the ball over in every single game this season.

It’s going to come down to the FSU offense being able to hit explosive plays against the Clemson secondary.

This is FSU’s most talented group of wide receivers in a decade and they have been playing fairly well as of late.

The other part of that is will Deondre Francois be able to find receivers in time behind a patchwork offensive line? He’ll also need to do a better of job of getting rid of the ball faster instead of holding the ball so long and getting crushed.

It’s going to be a tall task, but I would not be surprised to see FSU play Clemson tough but falling just short.

Whatever the outcome, it’ll be a great barometer of where the Noles need to go to become an elite program again.
