FSU Football: 5 observations from ‘Noles win over Wake Forest
By Kelvin Hunt
Offensive Progress Is Being Made
It didn’t seem that way after the first three offensive possessions that saw FSU football have two 20 yards on 12 plays.
However, the FSU defense getting a stop on fourth down ignited something to this offense that saw them score the next 31 points en route to blowing Wake Forest out.
The Noles averaged 6.92 ypp for the game which is elite, but Wake Forest came into the game allowing teams to average 6.66 ypp.
FSU went into the game averaging 4.96 ypp on the season, but the offense looks much more cohesive than it did earlier in the year.
Some may say it’s because it was Wake Forest but we saw some flashes in the Miami game as well.
The lone turnover came on a fumble by Keith Gavin as it looked like he was going to score on a huge pass play. Turnovers have killed the Noles all season, so to only have that happen and not give up a sack while scoring 38 points while also missing a field goal is pretty good.
