FSU football rolled Wake Forest for its fourth win of the season. We discuss five observations from the game.

The FSU football team must have thought they were still on their bye week when the Wake Forest game began Saturday.

Wake Forest took the opening drive 61 yards on 15 plays with relative ease but were held to a field goal before FSU promptly went three and out with their first possession.

In fact, the FSU offense didn’t get a first down until their third possession and before we blinked the Noles were down 10-0 with six minutes to go in the first quarter.

It looked like it was going to be a long day with Wake Forest threatening to score again, but a gamble by Wake Forest to go for it on fourth at eight backfired.

Wake was in field goal range but admittedly it looked like they had a great shot of converting the fourth down with how easy they moved the ball earlier.

Wake Forest coach Dave Clawson probably figured he needed more than 13 points to win the game and he was right.

FSU got a turnover on downs and promptly went 60 yards on six plays that culminated in a Cam Akers touchdown. That was the turning point in the game and it wasn’t competitive after that.

Let’s get into our five observations from the ‘Noles win over Wake Forest.
