The college football season is now in full swing, so let’s take a stab at trying to make some money starting with week 7.

Our college football betting took a huge loss last week as we finished in the red going 2-2-1 on the week. We caught a tough break in the Syracuse game with them going up huge and then being down huge to then lose in overtime. Turnovers change things so many ways.

NC State was covering the spread most of the game and managed to get a push, sigh.

The overall record is 13-16-1 after six weeks.

Recap

  • LSU -2.5 vs. Florida (Loss)
  • NC State -5 vs. Boston College (Push)
  • Notre Dame -6.5 vs. Virginia Tech (Won)
  • Syracuse -4 vs. Pittsburgh (Loss)
  • FSU +14 vs. Miami (Won)

So let’s not waste any more time and get right into our top 5 bets of week five. All lines are from our partners at OddsShark.com.

  • Duke +3 vs. Georgia Tech
  • Miami vs. Virginia- UNDER 48
  • Pittsburgh vs. Notre Dame-Under 55
  • Texas A&M -2.5 vs. South Carolina
  • WVU -6.5 vs. Iowa State

Quick Write Up

  • Duke is coming off a bye week and already played a triple option team in Georgia Southern earlier in the year. GT is riding off its 66 points scored against a Louisville team that’s quit on the season. Gimme the points as Duke possibly wins straight up because GT’s defense is awful.
  • Two offenses that are not very good, Miami’s turnover luck on defense has to run out at some point right?
  • Pittsburgh got lucky last week with several tunovers that turned into points against a Syracuse team coming off the heartbreaking loss to Clemson. Both teams like to run the ball a ton and the clock will be running. I don’t expect Pitts to score a lot here.
  • Jimbo Fisher is familiar with Will Muschamp from their FSU/UF days. A&M has the better roster and QB while being stout against the run with USCe giving up almost 200 yards rushing per game.
  • This line with WVU looks too good to be true but they are a covering machine (4-1) on the year. I don’t think Iowa State has the offense to keep up while going up against an underrated WVU defense.
