Conclusion

I believe this game is much closer on the field than what we’ve seen thus far from the two teams. Yes, FSU football hasn’t looked like the team we thought they’d be for a variety of reasons.

However, they’ve played the tougher schedule thus far and are more battle tested. The biggest key in this game will be not turning the ball over on defense.

The second biggest thing will be winning the field position battle, followed by moving the ball by any means necessary. I don’t care if the run to set up the pass or pass to set up the run, but they have to stay out of predictable pass situations against the Miami pass rush.

It looks like the Noles could potentially have the closest thing we’ll see to their original starting lineup on the offensive line against Miami.

They’ve gotten better over the last couple weeks, especially with Landon Dickerson returning last week and the possibility of Derrick Kelly playing Saturday.

That bodes well and I really like the FSU defense’s chances of rattling the young QB similar to how they did a young Lamar Jackson in 2015.

If they can do these things they’ll have an excellent shot of keeping their winning streak in Doak South intact.
