FSU Football: 3 takeaways from ‘Noles win over Louisville
By Kelvin Hunt
Conclusion
The FSU football team has shown improvements through its first five games and the results are starting to show on the field.
The offense no longer completely looks inept for entire games, and the offensive line has held up much better the last two weeks considering where they were.
Heck, we even saw a spark on special teams(though that unit has ways to go) with D.J. Matthew’s huge punt return to set up the Noles for a score late in the game.
I still think FSU should have beaten Syracuse, but the Orange are probably better than anyone gave them credit for by looking at how they played Clemson.
It’s either that or Clemson isn’t THAT great offensively(Trevor Lawrence looked pedestrian even before his injury).
Winning cures a lot of problems on a team that’s struggling to find an identity, a team that’s looking to reestablish itself among the elite.
Coach Taggart said he felt didn’t feel the Noles stole a win, rather he felt they took it and I’d have to agree with him.
They still had to go 80 yards to score the go ahead touchdown after the Westbrook interception.
It’s like in boxing when a guy throws a punch and misses and his opponent counters with a huge punch to knock him out.
Great win by FSU football and now and its on to Miami hate week. Go Noles!
