QB Play

FSU’s quarterback is Deondre Francois and he’s the only quarterback to see the field for the Noles in 2018.

Louisville is playing two quarterbacks in Jawon Pass and Malik Cunningham. Ironically, Pass is more of a passer and Cunningham is more of a runner(like Randall Cunningham).

Francois has played fairly well in two of the four games and absolutely abysmal in the other two. However, it should be noted he’s coming off his best game of the year against the best defense he’s faced thus far.

He’s completing 63.5 percent of his passes for 1,083 yards with five touchdowns and five interceptions. He does have two rushing touchdowns on the season.

The Louisville quarterbacks stack up like this:

  • Jawon Pass-Completes 51 percent of his passes with two touchdowns and five interceptions. He has 18 rushes for 8 yards with no touchdowns.
  • Malik Cunningham-Completes 64 percent of his passes with one touchdown and one interception. He has 239 rushing yards on 43 attempts with two touchdowns.

This is their first year fully playing in Bobby Petrino’s system as is it for Francois playing for Willie Taggart though Francois has far more experience.

Louisville quarterbacks have been sacked 11 times compared to 12 for Deondre Francois.
