The college football season is now in full swing, so let’s take a stab at trying to make some money starting with week 5.

Our college football betting took a huge win last week as we finished in the black with a 4-1 record. We pretty much nailed every game aside from the Boston College game which brings the overall record to 10-10 after four weeks.

I should have known that line was too good to be true on the road. Here’s a quick recap of last week:

  • South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt UNDER 54.5 (Win)
  • Boston College -6.5 vs. Purdue (Loss)
  • Texas A&M +26  vs. Alabama (Win)
  • Clemson vs. GT- OVER 51.5 (Win)
  • NC State -5 vs. Marshall (Win)

So let’s not waste any more time and get right into our top 5 bets of week five. All lines are from our partners at OddsShark.com.

  • NC State -5.5 vs. Virginia
  • Duke -5 vs. Va Tech
  • Clemson vs. Syracuse – OVER 71
  • FSU -6.5 vs. Louisville
  • ECU -7 vs. Old Dominion

Quick Write Up

-NC State is the better team and playing at home which is a tough place to play for opposing teams. Virginia isn’t very good with their best win coming against pretty terrible Louisville team last week, a game that was still close at halftime

-Think it’s safe to say Va Tech isn’t as good as some thought. FSU practically beat themselves against them and the Hokies are now without their starting QB on the road.

-Clemson has its QB Trevor Lawrence starting and he’s going to light up Syracuse’s defense no question. Syracuse has a decent offense so they should score a few points in this one.

-Louisville is a train wreck. They are not good offensively and FSU’s defense should be able to keep them in check. The question is can FSU’s offense keep the momentum they had from last week? If so….they should cover as long as they don’t turn it over multiple times.

-ECU has rebounded nicely after its embarrassing loss to NCCU. They outplayed USF last week in a loss and Old Dominion will be feeling themselves after their big win over Va Tech last week. Perfect opportunity for a letdown.
