Brian Burns will have 10+ sacks

Brian Burns was second on the team with 9.5 sacks in 2016, but that number dropped to 4.5 sacks last season.

However, Burns saw his total number of tackles double and his tackles for loss increase quite a bit too.

Josh Sweat is gone to the NFL which means Burns is the most experienced defensive end on the team

He’s put on good weight and should be on the field more against the run, thus he should see more snaps than any defensive end on the team. Another by-product of Harlon Barnett’s defense is their focus of stopping the run.

That means the defense should force more obvious pass situations on third down.

That should lead to an increase in sack opportunities for Burns in his money year with the team.
