FSU football is thought to bounce back this season and get to a respectable, with one outlet agreeing with Chop Chat about where the Seminoles will land.

It was just a few days ago where I wrote on this very website that the FSU football team would be heading back to the New Years Six bowl game circuit this season – a prediction that was met with astonishment and ridicule from friends, members of my own family and even at times from our new puppy. Bowden.

Well, apparently I am not the only one who thinks that way – so what do you think about that!

Earlier this week, USA Today joined all the rest of us by releasing their bowl predictions ahead of the 2018 season – and while the Seminoles did not appear in a New Years Six bowl game for the first time since 2011 when they appeared in the Independence Bowl last season, they have FSU football heading back into the fun in just a few short months.

"Orange Bowl – Clemson vs. Penn StateCotton Bowl – Alabama vs. OklahomaSugar Bowl – West Virginia vs. GeorgiaRose Bowl – Wisconsin vs. WashingtonFiesta Bowl – Boise State vs. Notre DamePeach Bowl – Ohio State vs. FLORIDA STATE"

I would personally like to thank the folks who made these picks for validating my thought that FSU football is going to be just fine and make it back to one of the high profile bowl games this season – as well as my prediction about Penn State making the playoff and the teams I have in the Rose Bowl being right as well.

Of course, we all remember that the last time the Seminoles played in the Peach Bowl they were upset by a Group of Five team in the Houston Cougars – and the last time they played in Mercedes Benz Stadium, well we all remember what took place to open last season.

For this to take place, the Seminoles would essentially have to finish with 10 wins and have at least one of them be against one of the top teams from the Coastal Division – Miami or Virginia Tech – to justify being selected over whoever the Tigers would beat in the ACC title game.

After what took place in 2017, I think that most fans of FSU football – as well as those associated with the program – would take this finish to the season right now, no questions asked, if offered.
