FSU Football is now the home of some of the best coordinators in the game, and one website thinks that both of them could be head coaches someday soon.

For the better part of the last decade, the FSU football team has watched as the coordinator position on both sides of the ball has been a lot of hits and misses. While former defensive leaders Mark Stoops and Jeremy Pruitt are now head coaching in the SEC, Charles Kelly is now back to being a segment coach while there was never a true offensive coordinator thanks to the power trip of the former head coach.

Under head coach Willie Taggart, the Seminoles are going to see a new look at both spots as Walt Bell made the move from Maryland to lead the offense in Tallahassee while Harlon Barnett took the jump from his alma mater, Michigan State, to become the fourth defensive coordinator for the Seminoles in the last six seasons.

Even without coaching a game yet from the sideline or the booth, both FSU football coordinators are getting respect as some of the best young minds in the game (well, Bell being 34 years old and Barnett being 51, but they both are young to the coordinator game) – and one site doesn’t think they will be assistants for much longer.

Yahoo Sports recently ranked the top 20 assistant coaches who are ready for a top job, with Barnett being among those receiving consideration and Bell being ranked No. 14 on the list.

"The world saw a glimpse of Bell’s potential when Maryland torched Texas for 51 points and 482 yards to open last season. Willie Taggart will call plays at FSU, but Bell’s influence has already been felt with the quarterbacks and on the recruiting trail."

Taggart will be the one calling the actual play by play decisions for FSU football in each game this season, but he is going to be doing so based off a gameplan put together by Bell as a blueprint for what the Seminoles should do in each situation and against each of the opponents on the upcoming schedule.

As for Barnett, he is bringing a whole new look to the defense that will capitalize on the individual skills of star players like Brian Burns, Levonta Taylor and others. It’s something that will have the Seminoles looking as close to the defense under Stoops and others before the last four seasons took place.
