FSU football coaches are preaching accountability and love for one another, but what about showing love for their school?

FSU football senior offensive lineman took it a step further by unveiling a sick FSU tattoo he got on his arm.

It’s not the first time a player has demonstrated his love for the Noles by getting a tattoo.

In fact, former FSU safety Derwin James got a FSU tat years before ever enrolling in Tallahassee.

Junior FSU linebacker Dontavious Jackson has a FSU tattoo as well. It’s the FSU logo with a Philippians 4:13 bible verse underneath.

Thoughts

I’m not advocating players should get tats to prove their affinity for their university. In fact, I don’t have a single tattoo on my body.

However, as a former college athlete I can tell you having a cohesive family atmosphere and genuine love for your school is important for the teams’s success.

It’s one reason Coach Taggart and staff have made many team activities mandatory. It’s also a reason why quarterback Deondre Francois moved back on campus.

Eberle’s been often criticized by many(including yours truly) for some of his play in the past, but he’s already shown his love for the university and his teammates by playing injured in 2016.

The fact he got a tattoo only furthers that sentiment not to mention he’s one of the senior leaders on the team. I’m not suggest younger teammates will listen to him just because he got a tattoo, but more so it’s clear he loves being a Nole.

Unfortunately that love seemed lost by some players under the last regime. It’s great to see it coming back under Willie Taggart who could be the biggest FSU football fan of them all.
