Tough Schedule

So we’ve established the narrative FSU wasn’t top dog in recruiting for the first time in the conference in forever.

Another narrative that’s also true is FSU will play one of the toughest schedules in the country in 2018.

However, I feel it’s a schedule that’s tougher on paper than in actuality, but that’s something the season will decide.

If Miami gets throttled by LSU in their opener it won’t mean as much if the Noles roll them when they play.

Make sense?

However, it’s plenty tough simply because they have to play and ton of Power Five schools that will be ranked at some point in the 2018 season.

If Coach Taggart can get to the Miami game undefeated at (5-0) and beat the Canes, that would give him a better than average shot at 10 regular season wins(barring key injuries).

Virginia Tech’s Jason Fuente won the ACC Coach of the Year in his first season with a (9-3) regular season record, but also won the weaker ACC Coastal Division.

Mark Richt won it last season with 10 regular season wins against a cupcake schedule after winning nine games the previous season.
