FSU Recruiting: Noles offer west coast four-star wide receiver
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU recruiting is doing something the old regime would’t think of and that’s go after players that show interest in the Noles.
Remember when five-star 2018 safety Jaiden Woodbey practically begged for the old regime to show interest in him last year and was ignored?
Of course Willie Taggart was named the new FSU head coach, offered Woodbey and he was enrolled at FSU a month later as an early enrollee.
Well, we have a similar situation with four-star wide receiver Kyle Ford. Ford is the No. 45 ranked player nationally and the No. 7 wide receiver in the country.
He recently competed at The Opening was named finals MVP after 51 receptions and nine touchdowns against some of the best defensive backs in the country.
The Noles offered Ford just a couple of days later after he expressed some interest in the Noles. Other kids with ties to FSU recruiting were in his ear on social media as well:
Four-star 2018 tight end FSU signee Camren McDonald^.
Four-star safety Nick Cross who was also at The Opening and considering the Noles.
Thoughts
FSU recruiting is being very selective with the wide receivers they’re targeting in the 2019 class after signing five excellent receivers last recruiting cycle. It’ll be super important to secure a visit from Ford since he has already visited other schools like Oregon and Colorado.
USC is the 247 crystal ball leader at this point with Ohio State being the only other school besides FSU that Ford has mentioned any real interest in at this point.
FSU recruiting only has one receiver committed in the 2019 class in four-star Maurice Goolsby.

Ford stands at 6’2″ 210 pounds going into his senior season and would be an excellent addition to the class. Could he be the next “Westside Nole” to enroll at FSU?
