FSU football is playing a schedule that no one else in college football wants a piece of – and one paper says their games are almost all the state’s best.

When the FSU football team takes the field for their season opener against the Virginia Tech Hokies in less than a month, it will start a schedule that may not be just the toughest one the Seminoles have had to face in program history – but arguably one of the toughest ones in recent college football history.

With 11 of the 12 games coming against teams playing bowl games or the FCS playoff last season (thanks a lot, Syracuse), fans of the Noles are going to be seeing some great games inside Doak Campbell Stadium and when FSU football travels down to South Florida for their annual game with the Miami Hurricanes.

When it comes to the best games in the state of Florida this season, one newspaper says they almost all include the Seminoles. The Tampa Bay Times ranked all 78 games involving teams from the Sunshine State this season – and the Noles were a part of five games in the top six.

"No. 2 – FSU at Miami (October 6th)No. 3 – Virginia Tech at FSU (September 3rd)No. 4 – FSU at Notre Dame (November 10th)No. 5 – Clemson at FSU (October 27th)No. 6 – Florida at FSU (November 24th)"

The paper also ranked three other FSU football games – showdowns with Boston College, Louisville and N.C. State – in the top 30 this season.

The game ranked as the top of them all? The always epic showdown between the Florida Gators and the Mississippi State Bulldogs – with the reasoning being the return of Dan Mullen to his former coaching stop now that he is in charge of things down in Gainesville.

I have no problem admitting biased on this one, because there is no way you can tell me that a game involving two middle of the road SEC teams from last season is better than any of the FSU football games in listed above.
